Namibia open to receive international tourists who test COVID-19 negative Several nations are slowly reopening their borders for international tourists to jump start their tourism sector after a considerable break due to the Coronavirus pandemic. After Brazil and Egypt among other countries, Namibia is also ready to welcome foreign tourists. From this week, airlines can land at Hosea Kutako International Airport. According to the latest reports, international tourists will have to provide negative COVID-19 test reports issued within 72 hours of the person’s flight time. In addition, tourists will be given a health questionnaire on arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek which has to be duly filled with relevant information. Tourists can only land at Hosea Kutako International Airport since other airports in the country are accepting international tourists. After landing, temperature scanning will take place, and passengers showing any symptoms will be tested again for Covid-19 at the airport. For the security, all tourists should contain travel insurance and purchase a local number and register it with the Namibian authorities.
