Hac Sa Beach in Coloane is the largest beach in Macau, known for its striking black sand. It gets its unique colour from minerals in the seabed that are washed ashore. The relatively clean beach is ideal for swimming. The name "Hac Sa" is a translation from the Cantonese word which literally means black sand. The charm of the beach lies in its secludedness, promising a day of unbridled fun and relaxation. The main attractions of Hac Sa Beach are the swimming pool (open from May to October), barbecue pits and a campsite, along with some food stalls and restaurants.
