Ggantija Temples are two well-preserved neolithic temples & a visitor center situated in Xaghra on Gozo island. Ggantija is among the oldest free-standing archaeological monuments over the globe. It is the first ancient Maltese structure listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Ggantija Temples are one of the longest-standing monuments in the world that were built between 3600 and 3200 B.C. The site comprises two temples with separate entrances that are enclosed by a common boundary wall. These neolithic structures are made with locally sourced Coralline and Globigerina Limestone.
